How It All Started

Back in 1981, Dr. Robert Borowiec opened a dental practice in South Lyon with a simple plan: treat people well, do good work, and stick around. In the 1990s, he moved to our current location on Lafayette Street.

In 2019, Dr. Jenkins started East Lake Dental, and in 2021 he merged his practice with Dr. Borowiec's—bringing together decades of experience with fresh energy. We've watched kids grow up, graduate, get married, and bring their own children in for checkups. That's not something you get at a corporate dental chain.

"Whether it's been six months or six years since your last visit, you're welcome here. We don't judge. We help."

Dr. Borowiec served as Chairman of the South Lyon Chamber of Commerce. He's not just a dentist who works in town; he's part of the community. And when Dr. Jenkins joined the practice, he brought fresh energy and the same commitment to doing things the right way.

We're proud of what we've built here. Not because it's big or fancy, but because it's real. Every patient gets our full attention. Every procedure is done with care. And everyone who walks through our door is treated like family.

The Dentists You'll Actually Like

Skilled professionals who also happen to be genuinely good people.

Dr. William Jenkins, DDS

Dr. William Jenkins

Doctor of Dental Surgery

Dr. Jenkins graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, which consistently ranks as the #1 dental school in the nation. But what really sets him apart isn't his credentials; it's his chairside manner.

Patients describe him as calm, patient, and genuinely caring. He takes the time to explain what he's doing and why, so you never feel like you're in the dark. If you've ever been nervous about going to the dentist, Dr. Jenkins is the kind of doctor who changes that.

Dr. Robert Borowiec, DDS

Dr. Robert Borowiec

Doctor of Dental Surgery, Founder

When Dr. Borowiec opened his practice in 1981, he made a promise to himself: treat every patient like a neighbor, not a number. More than four decades later, that promise still guides everything we do.

As a former Chairman of the South Lyon Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Borowiec's connection to this community runs deep. He's not just your dentist; he's probably cheered for your kids at the same football games and grabbed coffee at the same downtown spots.

What Makes Us Different

There are a lot of dentists out there. Here's why people choose us.

Judgment-Free Zone

Haven't been to a dentist in years? We get it. Life happens. We're here to help, not to lecture you about flossing.

Your Time Matters

We don't overbook. When you have an appointment, you're not going to sit in a waiting room for 45 minutes wondering if they forgot about you.

Real Relationships

We know our patients by name. We remember your kids. We ask about your vacation. Because that's what neighbors do.

Honest Recommendations

We'll never push a procedure you don't need. If your teeth are fine, we'll tell you. Our job is to help you, not to upsell you.

Quality Care, Personal Touch

We focus on what matters: your comfort and your health. We've never lost the personal touch that made us who we are.

Locally Rooted

We've been part of South Lyon for over 40 years. This isn't a job for us. It's our home, and you're our neighbors.

Questions About Our Practice

Got questions? We've got answers.

Since 1981, so over 40 years now. We've watched kids grow up, get married, and bring their own kids in. That's the part we love most.

Dr. Jenkins graduated from the University of Michigan, which has the top-ranked dental school in the country. Both doctors stay current with continuing education because dentistry is always evolving.

We do! From toddlers getting their first checkup to grandparents. Some families have been coming to us for three generations. Grandpa, mom, and the kids all come here.

Totally normal. A lot of people feel that way. Just tell us and we'll take it slow, explain what we're doing, and stop whenever you need us to. No judgment, we promise.

We're in downtown South Lyon, but we see folks from all over. Northville, Novi, Milford, Whitmore Lake, Wixom. If you can get here, we'd love to see you.
